REGISTER

Sign up through the “SecondCrop” portal and create a project. Farmers can register directly, or NFA can register on their behalf and invite them via email.

ADD YOUR FARM

Provide key farm details and project area information through the portal needed for the program.

REVIEW ELIGIBILITY

Portal information gets reviewed using GIS checks against the Gold Standard protocol requirements.

MAPPING & CONFIRMATION

Loam Bio verifies the project area and sends it back for the farmer to review and approve before any fieldwork begins.

STRATIFICATION & SOILSAMPLING

A customized targeted sampling plan gets designed using soil type, clay content, moisture, pH, elevation, and cropping history to maximize measurement accuracy. Specialized coring contractors collect baseline soil samples and sends to the lab for testing.

APPLY & GROW

Apply CarbonForm-R via planterbox and farm as normal. NFA handles all follow-up soil sampling and annual cropping practices data collection.

CREDITS EARNED

Verified carbon credits are registered and deposited to your farmer owned account at Gold Standard Registry. Credits earned are split 70% to the farmer and 30% to Loam Bio for administration of the program.
